Research Grant Applications
Grants from the EI Cure Project are designed to provide funding for preclinical and translational research projects that aim to deliver clinical benefit for those affected with Epidermolytic Ichthyosis within 10-15 years. We give grants for PhD Scholarships or Post-Doctoral Research Projects supported by established research Institutions.
Awards are for a maximum of £100,000 for a PhD Scholarship over 3 years or £90,000 for Post-Doctoral projects over 2 years or the equivalent pro-rata amount for grants for shorter time-periods. The minimum grant duration is 1 year up to a maximum of 3 years and the maximum amount that can be requested for any one year is £33,300 for a PhD Scholarship or £45,000 for Post-Doctoral Projects.
How to Apply
There are two parts to the application process:
Part 1 - Complete the online application form, and;
Part 2 - Submit the details requested in our Instructions to Applicants form.
In order to complete the two parts of the application, you will need the following documentation which will need to be sent by email to our Founder and Head of Research, Helen Lill (helenlill.eicureproject@gmail.com):
CV from principal applicant (max 3 pages) and all co-applicants (max 3 pages each);
Copy of International form of ID (Passport) from Principal applicant and all co-applicants;
A detailed scientific/academic report (max 8 pages, see further requirements here);
A copy of the ethics approval certificate for the proposed research or a copy of the ethics application form for the proposed research to demonstrate that ethical approval has been sought.
