Meet Brentley

Brentley is 4 years old and is affected with KRT10 EI with PPK. Brentley and his family live in the USA. Brentley also has an Autism spectrum disorder diagnosis, which makes his skin care routine a particular challenge. He was also kept in the NICU for an extended period of time following his birth, and he had to be gradually weaned off morphine. An extended NICU stay and the use of morphine for many weeks, led to Brentley being sedated and not moving as much as the average infant, and these factors may have contributed to his flat head, along with some of Brentley’s developmental delays. Brentley has one of the most visibly severe forms of EI within our community.
